The Cambridge YMCA was founded on principles that value service to others. We know that communities thrive when people come together to respond to local needs. We work with members, community leaders, business partners, volunteers, and donors to understand the challenges our neighbors face.
The Cambridge Y never turns anyone away due to an inability to pay.
The Cambridge Y serves working families with childcare and summer programs, people interested in being active and healthy, at risk-youth, isolated seniors, people battling chronic illness, and community members looking for a meaningful way to give back. Our Rock Steady Boxing Program helps folks struggling with Parkinson’s Disease find relief from this twice per week program. Our Youth At- Risk Fitness Program keeps Cambridge teens off the streets while building relationships with police officers and gaining valuable friendships and learning the value of teamwork and wellness.
Our Y has been in Cambridge for 140 years making an impact on so many individuals and families. As we look ahead, we can see that there is more work to be done.
When you donate to the Cambridge YMCA, you can be assured that your support will make a meaningful impact on the lives of people in the community. All donations to the Cambridge Y are directed to our initiatives and remain in the community. Your gift will help young people achieve their potential, empower people of all ages and circumstances to lead healthier lives and strengthen the foundation of our community.
We sincerely hope you feel as committed to our community as we do and will join our Y family of supporters. On behalf of the Cambridge YMCA and those we serve, thank you for considering our Y as you make your important philanthropic decisions.
