We have a 20 yard, 3 lane pool. We offer lap swim, recreational swim, group lessons for ages 6 months to adults, and  private lessons. We offer swim tests for outside organizations. Please see the pool schedule to plan your visit! We have kick boards, pull buoys, hand paddles, flippers, and life jackets available for use. Please plan to bring your own swim suits, swim caps, and goggles.

LAP SWIM consists of moving up and down the lane while horizontal in the water. Training devices used may include hand paddles, kick boards, and pull buoys. A majority of the swimming is continuous. Up to 3 people may share a lane. Please check with other swimmers when entering a lane.

REC SWIM consists of moving up and down the lane in a vertical or head-up position or remaining stationary. Training devices used may include noodles, kick boards, float belts, barbells, or weights. This is the time when activities such as water aerobics, water jogging, or any stationary exercise should be practiced. If more than one person is present at a rec swim, there should not be swimmers attempting laps.

Swim Tests are offered. Please contact Dana Frost for more information.

Private Swim Lessons

*NOTICE: Limited private lessons are available for Members only*

Private lessons are available for children or adults of all swimming abilities. Lessons can focus either on achieving a certain level of overall proficiency or on refining a specific skill. Children learn to swim using the YMCA Progressive swim guidelines. Using both instruction and play, kids build their skills at their pace, ensuring that they succeed often, build confidence and have fun! The lessons help children develop strokes, water safety skills, life skills, and provide a positive learning experience. Adults focus on either reaching a specific goal or gaining overall swimming skill. Lessons are great for people who want one-on-one attention, a different pace of learning than with a group, or have very specific swimming goals.

Private lessons are booked usually weekly or bi-weekly depending on scheduling and space constraints. Please contact Evan Burchell with specific schedule questions.

*Please note: Semi-private (two or three person lessons) are for swimmers already known to each other. We do not match swimmers into semi-private lessons.

Swim Tests

*ATTENTION: Swim tests are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 guidelines. We apologize for any inconvenience*

These tests are verification of swimming ability for other organizations. You swim the amount specified by your boat club, boat class, or other organization, and we issue you a letter stating that you can swim. You do not need a swim test to join swim lessons.

Swim Tests are offered at 5:30 p.m. on weeknights and 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Other times are available by appointment. The cost is $15 per person.

  • Please make sure to bring your ID!
  • If you are under the age of 18, you must have the WAIVER signed by your parent/guardian before you take the swim test
  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult

Group Swim Lessons

*NOTICE: Limited group lessons are available for Members only*

Group Swim Lessons are divided by age and ability into small groups. Each class meets weekly for 30-45 minutes, depending on the stage. We run in 4-8 week sessions. Please see our lesson selector and class descriptions to help you select a class, or email Dana Frost with further questions. Please see our current and upcoming sessions, and see our registration dates to help ensure you get the class you would like!

Parent with Child (Infant/Toddler) classes are for water acclimation of swimmers from 6 months to 3.5 years. We have 5-9 parent child pairs per class and do a mix of songs, activities, and instruction to gain comfort and swimming readiness.

Preschool Age classes are for swimmers aged 3-5 that are ready to participate in class without an adult. We use games, toys, instructional flotation, and structured activities to gain safety and independence leading to swimming technique. Classes include 3-6 swimmers of similar abilities.

School Age classes are for swimmers aged 6-12 that teach safety, independence, swim technique, and share the joy of swimming. Classes include 4-7 swimmers of similar abilities. Stages 1 through 3 focus on water safety and basic technique, while stages 4 through 6 refine technique and endurance.

Teen and Adult classes are for ages 13+. Classes include 4-7 swimmers of similar abilities. Stages 1 through 3 focus on water safety and basic technique, while stages 4 through 6 refine technique and endurance.
