This is a fast-paced boxing workout suitable for beginners and experienced boxers, alike. The training session begins with dynamic warm-up designed to elevate the heart rate and prep the body for a boxer’s training regimen. We transition to realistic offensive and defensive drills consisting of a variety of punching combinations, blocking techniques and evasive movements. (Participants will choose a partner or be matched with someone of a similar skill level.) During the drilling portion of the class, we will also spend a few rounds on intense strength and cardio training on the heavy bag. The drills may also be interspersed with (or followed by) sport-specific upper and lower body calisthenics in addition to muscle-confusing core routines.
