Volunteer Opportunity

The Recreation Department at the Y strives to give children tools for the future. These tools are self-esteem and confidence and give the children the opportunity to succeed. In turn, the children feel great about themselves and are more inclined to have happy and healthy relationships with others.

If you enjoy basketball and children this is the volunteer opportunity for you. We have Saturday basketball leagues in the fall and winter and spring. These programs serve hundreds of children from 6 to 15 years old. Youth sports are a great way for the children to learn more about sportsmanship through caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.

If you are interested in volunteering as a coach and are over 18 years of age; please fill out an application and drop it off at the YMCA Front Desk. Questions?
